St Vincent again maintained its position as third least corrupt among all the states in the Eastern Caribbean, according to the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) Country Rankings.
As reported by Transparency International for the CPI report issued in 2025, based upon an evaluation system using a total possible score of 100 points, St Vincent was ranked at #31 out of 182 nations worldwide with a score of 63.
As indicated in the Transparency International CPI Report for 2025, St. Vincent’s ranking has remained the same as it was in the CPI Report for 2024.
Barbados was found to be the least corrupt country with a CPI Score of 68 and a corresponding ranking of 23; The Bahamas followed as the second least corrupt with a CPI Score of 64 and a ranking of 29, which is one spot lower than its ranking of 28 in the CPI Report for 2024.
A country’s score reflects how much the public perceives corruption within their government’s public sector on a 0-100 scale; with a score of 0 representing a high degree of corruption and a score of 100 reflecting no corruption.
A country’s ranking represents how many other countries are less transparent than they are. Therefore, a country’s ranking does not represent the actual amount of transparency or lack thereof of that particular country.
