The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines officially hosted His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State of Qatar, alongside his delegation during an official visit on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
During the visit, Dr. Al-Khulaifi and the Qatari delegation paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Stanley Kendrick John, KC. The delegation subsequently participated in a joint diplomatic session with the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Honourable Dr. Godwin Friday, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, the Honourable Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble.
According to an official release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, the joint meeting provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on both bilateral and multilateral issues. Specific areas of discussion included climate change, water security, energy transition, and potential avenues for further inter-state cooperation.
The State of Qatar and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines initially established formal diplomatic ties on March 21, 2017. Following the discussions, the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines expressed its intention to further expand bilateral ties to foster a dynamic, mutually beneficial, and enduring partnership between both nations.
