The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Conservation Fund (SVGCF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Gale Branch as President of its Board of Directors, effective July 13, 2026.
Ms. Branch assumes her role following the tenure of Mr. Gideon Nash, who succeeded Ms. Sarah Louise Mitchell, who now serves as Attorney General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The SVGCF extends its sincerest appreciation to Mr. Nash and Ms. Mitchell for their dedicated leadership and invaluable service as former Presidents of the Board. Their stewardship has helped strengthen the Fund’s governance, expand strategic partnerships and advance its mission of securing sustainable financing for biodiversity conservation and environmental resilience in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
A member of the SVGCF Board of Directors since February 2025, Ms. Branch previously served as Treasurer/Secretary, providing strategic oversight and contributing to the continued growth and strong governance of the organization. Her appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter as the Fund continues to build on its achievements and deepen its impact across the country.
Ms. Branch is the Founder and Principal of Branch Strategic Solutions, a strategic operations and advisory firm serving executives, founders and organizational leaders across the United States and the Caribbean. Her career spans more than four decades across banking and financial services, operations leadership, and strategic advisory — including two decades leading her own consulting practice. She has built a distinguished career helping organizations translate vision into meaningful, measurable results through effective management and sound decision making.
Her broad regional perspective is further strengthened through her service on the boards of the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund, the Dame Susan Foundation for Girls, and the Farmers Support Company, where she continues to champion strong governance, strategic leadership, and sustainable development. Ms. Branch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management, with Distinction, from Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, USA.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Branch said:
“It is a privilege to serve as President of the Board of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Conservation Fund. I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board members, the Secretariat, our partners, and the communities we serve to continue advancing the Fund’s mission.
As President of the Board, Ms. Branch will provide strategic leadership and governance oversight as the SVGCF continues to invest in initiatives that protect biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and empower communities through sustainable, locally driven solutions.
The SVGCF looks forward to working under Ms. Branch’s leadership as it continues to foster partnerships and mobilize long-term financing to safeguard the country’s natural resources and support sustainable development for the benefit of present and future generations.
