The New Democratic Party extends congratulations to Vincy Heat for their courageous efforts that resulted in a 2 – 2 draw against Suriname on Friday 11th October.
The performance of our national team, has made us justly proud. Certainly, in our 40th year of Independence, and the 40th Anniversary of our 1979 achievements, we have a team that has captured the imagination of the Vincentian people as they fought back to wrest a draw from the jaws of defeat. They along with Suriname remain unbeaten in their group.
As Vincy Heat moves forward in their campaign to qualify for the next round of the CANCACAF Nations League today, 14th October, in Suriname, we remind them that they represent all Vincentians at home and abroad. You carry the spirit of our Nation with you.
We encourage the team to put their best efforts forward, and wish the players, technical staff and management all the best moving forward.
