Minister Saboto Caesar is currently in Montego Bay, Jamaica representing St. Vincent & the Grenadines’ emerging medicinal cannabis industry at the world renowned Canex 2019 conference. Over 2,000 entrepreneurs, investors, cultivators and leaders from around the world are present at the event.
After an opening speech by Jamaican Agriculture Minister Audley Shaw, Minister Caesar delivered the opening keynote address and participated on the opening panel.
“I am here shining a bright light on job creating investment opportunities in St. Vincent & the Grenadines to a global audience,” said Minister Caesar. “The reception SVG is getting from investors and the traditional community is truly impressive.”
“Creating jobs and opportunities for Vincentians is my top priority and I stressed that in my remarks. I spoke of the importance of a regional approach to ensure our heritage is valued. And, I highlighted the importance of involving traditional agricultural workers in the industry and making sure everyone can benefit,” Minister Caesar concluded.
