Trial Of Police Officer Charged For Theft Adjourned To July 17th

A trial that involves Police Constable Ettian Charles,  who was arrested and charge for theft has been adjourned to July 17th, 2018.

Charles was charged for theft of approximately $74,000.00, over $5,000.00 in cheques along with an uninterrupted power supply ups valued at $9,000.00 and a battery pack valued at $3,000.00 from the SVG Postal Corporation on July 7th, 2017.

On Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne at the Serious Offences Court, there were testimonies from Director of the Postal Corporation along with all of the cashiers. 

Eleven witnesses have since mounted the witness stand and when the trial resumes six more are expected to give evidence.

Charles was slapped with three charges of which includes theft, conspiracy to commit burglary and official corruption.  He is being represented by Defense Counsel Israel Bruce.
