Three Trinidadian nationals, including an active-duty police officer, were arrested for their alleged involvement in a cocaine importation conspiracy.

The operation was a collaborative effort between the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and specialized law enforcement units within Trinidad and Tobago.

Authorities state that the charges include both narcotics trafficking and firearms offenses stemming from a long-term investigation.

Officials from both nations highlighted the case as a significant victory against transnational organized crime and public corruption.
