Members from both the Government and Opposition benches actively participated in the legislative debates, offering diverse perspectives on the measure.

During the discussions, Defence Minister Wayne Sturge strongly criticized commercial entities for prioritizing financial gains over the well-being of the youth.

Ultimately, supporters framed the restrictions as a necessary form of tough love aimed at safeguarding younger generations from the severe health and societal consequences of substance abuse.
