Tropical wave activity will continue to affect St. Vincent and the Grenadines from Monday night through Tuesday, bringing unstable weather conditions across the islands.

Issued on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. by Meteorological Forecaster Gregory Cato, the 72-hour forecast warns residents and motorists in areas prone to flash flooding and landslides, or near rivers and streams, to exercise caution.

Weather conditions are expected to be cloudy with a few showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms, becoming partly cloudy later in the day as patches of instability trail behind the wave.

Winds will be gentle to fresh easterly to east-southeasterly trades at 15–35 km/h. Seas will remain slight to moderate between 1.0 m and 1.5 m (3 ft to 5 ft), with swells of 0.5 m to 1.0 m on western coasts and 1.2 m to 1.8 m on eastern coasts.

Wind speeds will decrease to around 25 km/h, instigating warmer conditions alongside episodes of passing showers. Seas will ease to smooth to slight conditions between 0.5 m and 1.2 m (2 ft to 4 ft).

Skies will be partly cloudy with isolated showers as winds temporarily shift to an east-northeasterly direction. Seas will return to slight to moderate levels ranging from 1.0 m to 1.5 m (3 ft to 6 ft).

No formal weather or marine advisories or warnings are currently in effect, and no significant Saharan dust haze intrusion is expected over the 72-hour forecast period.
