Police have arrested and jointly charged Akym John, 20-year-old Vendor and Sage John a 20 year old Labourer both of Rose Place on 30.08.19 for Robbery.
According to reports, the accused men allegedly robbed a 17-year-old resident of Paul’s Avenue at gunpoint and made off with EC $450.00 in cash and at the time of doing so and in order to do so, placed the said complainant if fear of being then and there subjected to force, by pointing a gun at him. The incident occurred at Rose Place on 30.8.19.
The accused men appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on 02.09.18 for arraignment. The case made against Sage John was subsequently dropped and Akym John being the sole defendant was ordered to pay to the defendant the sum of EC $450.00 forthwith.
