Two Vincentian Nationals Remanded to Dodds Prison Barbados

Two Vincentians were remanded to HMP Dodds when they appeared in District B Magistrates Court Tuesday to face several drug charges.

Vincentians Francois Asima Ironsi Robert, 38 years of Dorchetshire Hill and Makaider Kristal Derrick, 24, of Glen, St George pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

They were remanded to Dodds, to reappear in court on September 8 for sentencing.

 According to Police, Robert and Derrick arrived by air together from St Vincent last Friday.

Derrick’s luggage was searched by Customs officers, and three plastic bottles containing a liquid substance – suspected to be cocaine – were found in a black pouch concealed in her suitcase. They were both arrested and referred to the police.
