Today, the US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) will fly with the Guyana Defence Force (GDF).
“This exercise builds on routine engagement and operations to strengthen the security partnership between the United States and Guyana, as well as regional cooperation,” the US Embassy in Georgetown said today in a statement.
“In addition to this exercise, USSOUTHCOM will continue its collaboration with the GDF in the areas of disaster preparedness, aerial and maritime security, and countering transnational criminal organisations.”
According to the embassy, the US is dedicated to Guyana and to strengthening regional security and collaboration.
