- Jorge Rodriguez Denounces US Noncompliance with Agreements
The head of the Bolivarian Government’s delegation for the Dialogue and president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, said that Venezuela will not bow down to imperialism.
His statements come after the reactivation of sanctions by the U.S. government as a pressure measure. The President of the National Assembly was accompanied by the Governor, Héctor Rodríguez; the Attorney General of the Republic, Reinaldo Muñoz; the Human Rights Advisor of the Republic, Larry Davoe; as well as the President of Petróleos de Venezuela, Pedro Tellechea and the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil.
In this regard, Rodriguez highlighted Washington’s non-compliance with the agreements signed in Doha and Mexico. He backed up his statement with a series of documents bearing the signatures of the U.S. delegates, in which they pledged to abide by the MOU.
Rodriguez said that “the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is an autonomous nation, which does not allow foreign interference in its own affairs and does not tolerate ultimatums.”
The tweet reads, “President of the NA, deputy Jorge Rodríguez: Here are the two documents, the two Memorandums of Understanding signed between both countries Venezuela – U.S., on September 28.”
The President of the National Assambly referred on the occasion to the meetings with the Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs of the State Department, Brian Nichols. In this respect, he said, “it is always better to tell the truth, because there is always proof of who is lying. In September 2023, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the United States of America signed two memorandums of understanding, on the subject of migration and another on political, diplomatic and government-to-government relations.”

Electoral Authorities of Venezuela Meet With Diplomats
Elvis Amoroso, the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), and Foreign Affairs Minister Yvan Gil held a meeting with diplomats accredited in Venezuela to provide them with firsthand information about the presidential elections scheduled for July 28.
Gil appreciated that diplomatic representatives can convey the truth about Venezuela to their countries and serve as spokespersons for the progress of the electoral process and the robustness of the electoral system, which reflects the will of the people without interference.
He reminded that Venezuela is constantly under attack by mainstream media and hostile states seeking to denigrate its electoral system, which is considered one of the world’s most effective and secure.
These attacks continue despite the impeccable functioning of the electoral system being proven on multiple occasions. Therefore, the Venezuelan minister requested that diplomats convey what is happening.
Over the last 25 years, Venezuela has held 30 elections that have demonstrated the effectiveness and reliability of its electoral system, Gil said, adding that this is a source of pride for citizens.
All accredited diplomatic missions in Venezuela were present at the meeting, which was also broadcast virtually to 107 Venezuelan diplomatic missions abroad.

Vice President Rodríguez: Venezuela has the right to demand that the blockade be lifted:
The Executive Vice-President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stated that the Venezuelan people have every right to demand the United States (US) government to lift the blockade imposed against the country.
In this regard, she recalled that the more than 900 unilateral measures imposed by the US against Venezuela violate international law and all fundamental principles of coexistence.
“The blockade must be lifted, it is a demand, it violates international law and has no right whatsoever”, stressed the Executive Vice-President.
In this regard, she asserted that, without the sanctions, the development and expansion of the Venezuelan economy could be strengthened, which is in a recovery phase thanks to the measures applied by the National Government together with the different sectors of the country.
“Our economy has sufficient capacities to expand and develop. Venezuela has the right to demand that the blockade be lifted. We are demanding our right, to be able to live without a blockade, that has been a point of national consensus,” she said.
