The Unity Labour Party and residents of North Leeward have been thrown into a state of mourning with the passing of veteran politician and former representative John Thompson.
Thompson died on Tuesday 20th February 2018, he was among labour party elected members who sat in the first parliament
Others included, Robert M. Cato, Hudson Tannis, Randolph Russell, Levi Latham, Arthur Woods, Grafton Isaacs, St. Clair Dacon and Arthur Willaims.
