Vincentian arrested at Gatwick with cocaine

MAN has appeared in court charged with attempting to smuggle two kilos of cocaine through Gatwick Airport after Class A drugs were discovered in the false bottom of a suitcase.

Border Force officers discovered the haul of cocaine on Sunday (April 17) when a passenger was stopped at the airport after arriving on a flight from St Lucia.

Following the seizure by Border Force at Gatwick Airport, the investigation has been passed to the National Crime Agency (NCA).

A 40-year-old St Vincent man, Hudson Kenuet Rohan Prescod, has been charged with importing a Class A drug.
