A Vincentian national and two Barbadian have been detained in connection with the seizure of (814) lbs of cannabis in Barbados.
On May 01, 2016 about 8.50 pm an operation by Police led by members of the Drug Squad assisted by the Barbados Coast Guard intercepted a boat about 4 nautical miles off the west coast.
A police report says due to unfavorable conditions at sea, the boat sank.
A third man was onboard at the time but has not yet been found. Rescue searches are being conducted at present.
Street value of the drug is over 1.6 million Barbados dollars.
