News784 has been reliably informed that an employee of Vinlec, The St Vincent’s Electricity Services Limited has tested positive after exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
News784 was also informed that a number of employees were also sent home, the exact number was not provided to us.
The circular from the CEO Thornley Myers addressed to All staff at the electricity service provider dated 29th December 2020 stated that the employee’s last day on the job was Thursday 24th December 2020.
The circular further stated that a list of employees who came into contact with the infected employee was sent to the Ministry of Health and testing for these persons have commenced.
All efforts to reach the Communications Officer and the CEO of Vinlec have proven futile.
