Vinlec to send workers to Anguilla

The St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited, VINLEC, will send five employees to the battered island of Anguilla to aid in rehabilitation efforts in that country in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

According to Tamara Job-Sprott Communications Officer at VINLEC, all personnel is currently awaiting clearance from the Caribbean Electric Utility Service Corporation (CARILEC.

Job-Sprott who was speaking on WEFM’s Morning Program on Wednesday said  Vinlec’s Human Resource Team has begun gathering relief supplies to send to the British Virgin Islands (BVI).

She said among the supplies that will be provided are dry goods, water, pampers, sanitary napkins and toiletries.

The items will be among supplies to be transported from St. Vincent and the Grenadines via a vessel scheduled to depart Port Kingstown this Friday, September 15.
