SVG Sailing Association announces Community Partnership with Virgin Atlantic
St. Vincent and the Grenadines Sailing Association (SVGSA) is delighted to announce a Community Partnership with Virgin Atlantic.
The SVG Sailing Association runs sailing programs throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines, covering grass roots, vocational and race training. Its aim is to change lives through sailing by teaching young people to sail, helping them gain qualifications, and encouraging talented young sailors to work towards representing St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the World stage. Virgin Atlantic has agreed to support this program with discounted travel.
Virgin Atlantic traditionally name their aircraft so, in keeping with this tradition, the St. Vincent and the Grenadines team have named the boat ‘Lady Paradise’.
Jenny Trumble – Head Coach St. Vincent and the Grenadines said “The SVGSA is committed to offering both vocational and competition opportunities through sailing. We warmly welcome the support of a global brand like Virgin Atlantic.”
Hannah Swift – Virgin Atlantic Country Manager Caribbean said “Virgin Atlantic is committed to supporting young people through the “Passport to Change” programme. Having had discussions with SVGSA we recognise their passion to change young lives through sailing and will do our best to support their goals.”
