Jules Williams, Managing Director of Williams Electronics and WE FM has described the current global situation, along with the political climate, as being “chaotic and pretty much unpredictable”.
Williams speaking on Sunday on the Issue at Hand programme characterised current affairs as a “strange situation”.
He acknowledged that in the current environment, people “don’t know what to expect tomorrow or what the future bring”. However, despite the chaos, he stressed that it is vital for individuals to continue planning for the future and maintaining a specific goal or purpose in life, such as owning a home by a certain age.
To navigate global uncertainty successfully, Williams advised the public to distinguish between their “needs” and “wants”.
Williams argued that the key to reaching long-term goals during uncertain times is to “stay focused on the things that you need”.
“By securing these essentials first, individuals create a foundation that eventually allows them to accomplish the things they want”.
Speaking on behalf of the station and its staff, he expressed deep gratitude toward the listenership across all platforms, including online and free-to-air media.
Beyond general well-wishes for the new year, Williams spoke to their relationship with the public.
He explicitly encouraged the public to remain engaged as the station moves into the upcoming year, stating that a primary goal for the station is to receive feedback and suggestions on areas for improvement.
“To facilitate this, the station will provide an avenue where you could share your thoughts, where you the listener can freely critique the station. The ultimate purpose is for the station to learn and establish a better way forward, so we can please a wider cross-section of the public”, Williams sated.
