Expanding on the progress made by WestJet’s current summer schedule, the airline is set to enhance the frequency of flights on important domestic routes that are vital for both business and leisure travelers connecting to Alberta’s capital city. The WestJet Group is actively working towards acquiring more aircraft from the used aircraft market to expedite the airline’s growth strategies.

Edmonton is highly connected within WestJet’s network, with 10 out of 16 domestic routes experiencing either new or increased flight frequency. As the leading carrier in the region, WestJet accounts for 50 percent of all air travel from Edmonton International Airport.
