The Diocese of the Windward Islands announces the passing of The Rev’d Canon Arthur Hoskins Huggins, CMG on Friday 28th October, 2016.
Canon Huggins was ordained to the sacred Priesthood on the 26th July, 1958 and served in several parishes and capacities: Rector of the Parish of The Holy Trinity, Georgetown, Rector St. Patrick, Sauteurs, Grenada, Rector St. George’s Parish Church, and Archdeacon of Grenada, Rector of the Cathedral Parish of St. George’s and St. Andrew, and Dean of the St. George’s Cathedral Kingstown,St. Vincent and the Grenadines and also as Vicar General.
He also served on the Diocesan Board of Finance, the Incorporated Trustees, the Diocesan Council. The Anglican Education Central Board of Management, Board of Governors of the Anglican High School, Bishop’s College, Carriacou and the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School, Grenada, as well as Bishop’s College Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Canon Huggins will be remembered for his deep and abiding faith in God. He was one who spoke the truth in love to power.

There will be a Vigil and viewing at 10:30am on Tuesday 8th November, 2016 at the St. Paul’s Parish Church.
The Funeral is scheduled for 2:00pm on Wednesday 9th November, 2016 at the St. Paul’s Parish Church, Calliaqua.
