A reliable source told News784 that the drama unfolded around 7 pm and came to end sometime after 9 pm when police detained the boyfriend.
The woman according to information was chopped and severely beaten about her body with a cutlass by her boyfriend.
According to sources, this happened in the presence of onlookers, and while she was holding a young child in her hand.
To get the victim away from her boyfriend, help came from another woman, who in turn had her furniture within her business place destroyed by the attacker.
The woman was taken to the Georgetown Hospital; her boyfriend is currently in police custody.
