St Vincent recorded 11 cases of COVID 19 on Tuesday 26th January 2021.
These new cases now bring the total number of COVID-19 cases in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to seven hundred and seventy-four (774), with six hundred and nineteen (619) of these cases being active.
A total of six hundred and thirty-three (633) local cases of the virus are currently under investigation.
No new recoveries were announced at the conference, which leaves confirmed recoveries recorded in SVG at one hundred and fifty-three (153).
The Ministry of Health announced that 16 persons are in isolation, while 7 are hospitalized and remain stable.
Percentage by age group with no travel history is as follows;
25-44yro – 37.5 percent
15.24yro- 12.9 percent
45-55yro 11.9 percent
There are cases in all age groups.
According to Ministry officials, while cases exist in all health districts, 50 percent of the cases come from three.
Calliaqua Health District holds the majority with 20.1 percent, Pembroke Health District 19 percent and Georgetown with 15 percent.
Two (2) COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded.
All residents of and visitors to St. Vincent and the Grenadines are reminded of the importance of consistently wearing facial coverings to protect themselves from being infected with the virus which causes COVID-19.
