Work on the playing field at Evesham is steadily progressing, the western villages of Marriaqua will get their own playing field at Evesham, this according to representative Jimmy Prince.
Prince says Government has purchased 1.6 acres of land at Evesham for the purpose. Grading of the new area has already started.
Negotiations took nearly two years to conclude.
“This was one promise made to the people of the area am delighted that we were able to realize it”.
The playing field is expected to benefit the residents of Evesham, Riley, kelbourney, Carriere and Collins.
