The United States Customs and Immigration Enforcement Agency ICE have deported a number of aliens back to the island.
The 2018 report by (ICE) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement noted that some 13 persons in total, were deported back to St Vincent.
Deportations to the OECS and associated states amounted to 65 in 2016 and 96 in 2017.
Some 256,085 aliens with criminal and non-criminal backgrounds were removed from the United States of America in 2018.
Of that total St Vincent and the Grenadines received 13. The report further stated that 10 Vincentians were deported in 2017 and 13 in 2016.
According to the report, the number of removals overall from the US went up by 13 percent from the previous year.
Deportations to other OECS countries are as follows;
Dominica 19, Grenada 9, St. Kitts-Nevis 15, Montserrat 1, Antigua -Barbuda 24, and St Lucia 28.
The associated states including the British Virgin Islands received -1 Anguilla No Data. Martinique No Data and Guadeloupe 1
Data for other Caribbean countries are as follows, Barbados 17, Trinidad 104, Jamaica 792, and Guyana 142.
