Teen found dead in Sion Hill Bay
A crime wave that began on Friday night on the island of St. Vincent (SVG) continued on Monday with the murder of a 13-year-old boy.
The murders of Stanran Stapleton on Friday night and Othnell Lavia on Sunday morning took place in the village of Petit Bordel. Elijah Creese died from a stab wound in Calliaqua on Sunday night.
The St. Vincent Times learnt from police sources that the 13-year-old has been identified as Matthew Da Souza of Fair Hall.
Late Monday evening, authorities discovered Da Souza’s body at Sion Hill Bay with injuries to the back of his head; his lower clothing was also missing.
Da Souza, known to many as a street child, is seen around Kingstown begging on a daily basis, a source told the St. Vincent Times.
Sion Hill Beach is located approximately 3.3 kilometers away from Capital City, Kingstown.
