- ORANGE HILL FISHERMAN FINED FOR WOUNDING LANDSCAPER
Davy Lewis, a 23-year-old Fisherman of Orange Hill has been charged with the offence of wounding. Police laid the charge against the accused on Tuesday 16th January 2024 at the Sandy Bay Police Station.
According to reports, the accused allegedly unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 22-year-old Landscaper of Georgetown by chopping him on his right hand with a cutlass.
The offence was committed in Sandy Bay on 06.01.24 about 4:00 p.m.
Lewis appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Wednesday January 17th 2024 and pleaded guilty to the charge.
He was fined EC $3000.00. The fine must be paid within three months. If the defendant defaults on the payment, he will spend six (6) months in prison.
