- SUPERVISOR CHARGE FOR HAVING ILLEGAL FIREARM AND AMMUNITION
During a joint operation between the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) and Narcotics Unit about 5:10 p.m. on 06.01.24, the police executed a Search Warrant at the home of Khanroy Chewitt, a 65-year-old Supervisor of Park Hill/USA. During the search, one (1) .25 Titan Pistol and nineteen (19) rounds of .25 ammunition were found and seized.
Chewitt was arrested and later charged with the offence of possession of unlawful fire and ammunition without a license issued under the Firearms Act. The offence occurred in Park Hill on 06.01.24 about 5:10 pm
Chewitt appeared before the Serious Offences Court on 08.01.24 and pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 with one (1) surety. The matter was adjourned to February 05, 2024 for trial.
