One man is now in custody following a chopping incident in Glen on Wednesday night which left 21-year-old Ronaldo Adams dead.
Sources tell the St Vincent Times that D’Andre McDonald, 26, of Glen, is currently in police custody.
Adams, according to early reports, died following an argument over a quantity of plumrose, which the St Vincent Times understands did not belong to either him or McDonald.
McDonald, a resident of Glen, operates a barbershop in the community.
According to sources following the argument outside the barbershop, Adams took off in the direction of the mental asylum and was pursued by McDonald.
St Vincent Times understands Adams ran into someone’s house, possibly for help, and was followed by McDonald. It is understood that the fatal chopping took place within the dwelling.
Adams death follows that of Green Hill businessman Stephen King, who was shot and killed around midday on Tuesday, 13 May, in his home.
Adams death brings the homicide toll for 2025 to 11.
Police Update
The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal wounding incident that occurred in Glen about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Preliminary reports indicate that Ronaldo Adams, a 21-year-old resident of Glen, sustained several chop wounds about his body following an altercation in the vicinity of a barber shop in the vicinity. He was later taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (M.C.M.H) by individuals at the scene, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police promptly responded to the report and secured the scene. The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) visited the location and processed the area, collecting items of evidential value.
One person is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation. A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out to ascertain the exact cause of death. Investigations are ongoing.
