Senior Education Officer Desiree Richards told the St. Vincent Times that the major activities began at roughly 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024, with a brief opening ceremony featuring Dr. Hyacinth Richards’ keynote lecture.
“Distribution of Care Packages to the 12 Female Inmates and Beautification of the Ladies in Pedicure, Manicure, and Hairdressing took place” .
“The event was a further demonstration of the partnership that exists between the Department and the Correctional Facility and our determination to efficiently serve our marginalized and vulnerable adult population,” Richards said.
According to the department, the ladies were pleased with the gesture, and the institution was very grateful.
