Antigua: All Electronic passports recalled indefinitely

  • Antigua extends passport recall

The recall of all machine-readable passports in Antigua & Barbuda has been extended indefinitely.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the decision to extend the passport recall deadline was made “in light of the continuing impact of global events on the ability of citizens here and abroad to meet the previous deadline of December 31, 2023.”

“All citizens of Antigua and Barbuda who have a Machine-Readable passport should be aware that the document is valid until it expires.” The passport office will continue to issue ePassports to new applicants and people whose passports have expired.”

Application forms for the ePassport, which was introduced in April 2017, are available locally and internationally at Antigua and Barbuda’s missions in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, according to the government.
