Are the police allowed to break the law? That was the question being asked by those in the vicinity of the National Lotteries Authority on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in Paul’s Avenue.
The question was being asked because a police vehicle used mainly for traffic purposes came to a stop in front of the WINFA office and parked, while the driver alighted from the vehicle and went into the NLA building.
Persons in the area told News784 that there were vehicles parked on the opposite side of the road which made the free flow of vehicular traffic difficult, turning the two-lane traffic into one.
The worst part about it according to passersby is that a well-known calypsonian shouted to the man as alighted from the vehicle, who wore a red shirt that he shouldn’t be doing such.
The said calypsonian also attempted to flag down a white police pick up and was ignored by both the man and the officers that passed in the police transport.
The driver of the vehicle who wore a red shirt and proceeded to enter the national lotteries building was unmoved by onlookers pleading with him not to leave the vehicle like that.
