CELAC Summit. We the people deserve to know what the cost for staging the event was.
For all the expenses, ranging from extra policing to food and drink, was it done on a budget?
Or perhaps was the entire affair a fancy cocktail party paid for at the expense of the Vincentian people?
The only real outcome was a theoretical 100 page document, so again I ask who paid for the summit?
Was it perhaps funded by the attending governments? Or due to the anti-American rhetoric of the event was it paid for by Russia, or perhaps even China?
If this is the case, then is making these friends the decision of one man, or the electorate?
To paraphrase our Prime Minister, “We will never allow anyone to choose for us, our allies. And we do not — for those who think that we can be bought with blandishments — … put a for sale sign in our metaphoric shop window.”
