Community Consultation On Resettlement Action Plan For Rose Place

1 Min Read

In recent months the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (GOSVG) has been progressing with the objective to provide a new seaport facility to improve overall efficiency in seaport operations. The new port facility is to be constructed to the north of Kingstown extending into portions of Rose Place (“Bottom Town”).

Most recently, the Project engaged a Resettlement Consultant to prepare a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP). The construction phase of the project is expected to have some impact on the Rose Place community.

As part of this ongoing project preparation, the Port Modernization Project will be hosting a Community Consultation on Monday September 23rd, 2019 outside the Rose Place hard court from 4:30 pm.
