A new candidate will represent the opposition NDP in the 2020 general elections in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Current representative Hon Arnhim Eustace will not contest the elections, the announcement was made by Vice President of the NDP St Clair Leacock on Thursday morning.
“Eustace will also give up his current seat as Member of Parliament in the constituency of East Kingstown”, according to Leacock.
Leacock speaking on X104FM this morning said Eustace is “the best Prime Minister the country never had,” has had operations performed on his knees. “You can’t run if you can’t walk,” He added. According to Leacock, Mr. Eustace will pass down his wisdom and knowledge to the new candidate.
Leacock told X104FM morning program that the NDP has two or three extremely exciting prospects in place and it’s only a matter of weeks before those names are revealed.
Arnhim Eustace has been representing East Kingstown since 1998. He held the position of President & Leader of the NDP for 18 years.
