New Road Projects For 2019: A number of new roads, upgrades and Footpaths will be constructed across St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves on Monday 7th January told the media that nine to ten sections of road would be constructed at a $30 Million dollars.
Gonsalves said that the funding would be part of a $90 million loan provided by the Kuwait Fund For Arab Economic Development and OFID fund.
Primarily the roads to be constructed would be Secondary and Feeder roads.
Among the roads to be dealt with are; Antoine Mountain roads, Palmyra, Montreal Gardens Road, Old Sandy Bay village road, Mount Wayne Beach Road, Mesopotamia road including Greggs, Belair main road, Brighton Salt Pound Road, Enhams Fair Hall Road, Sayers Village Road, Calder main road, Carriere mountain road, and Colonarie Estate.
Also this year, a project to enhanced rural roads would also begin across the state.
Gonsalves said the rural areas would see upgrades to existing roads and construction of new footpaths.
