Friday January 26, 2024, a handing over of Agro-Processing equipment for several local youth Agro-Processing cooperatives will be held at the Fisheries Conference Room in Kingstown, beginning at 10 am.
This handing over is a component of the Youth Agri-entrepreneurship for Rural Development Project, funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the Ministry of National Mobilization, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Housing and Informal Human Settlement.
A memorandum of agreement will also take place at the ceremony.
The beneficiaries of the project include Infusiion.co, Chateau Pazzion, Bequia Dynamic Investors, Youth Agribusiness Multipurpose Cooperative, and Innovative Youth Agribusiness Multipurpose Cooperative.
Hon. Orando Brewster Minister of National Mobilization, Social Development, Youth, Family, Gender Affairs, Housing and Informal Human Settlement and Senior Officers of the Ministry of Agriculture will present remarks.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labour Hon. Saboto Caesar will present the feature address.
