Green Hill: Couple targeted by gunshots while driving home, survives

  • SVG POLICE LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION INTO DOUBLE SHOOTING INCIDENT

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Green Hill on Tuesday, December 05, 2023, and resulted in an individual being treated at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) for gunshot injuries.

According to reports, Junior Woods, a self-employed Green Hill resident, and his girlfriend were attacked by an unknown assailant while driving home in motor vehicle P4556, a blue Starlet. During the incident, Mr. Woods received gunshot wounds to both legs. The Crime Scene Unit responded quickly to the crime scene and recovered several exhibits.

Following that, Michael Lescott, a 20-year-old unemployed man from Old Montrose, arrived at the MCMH with a gunshot wound to his leg. The circumstances of Mr. Lescott’s injuries are currently being investigated.

The RSVGPF is requesting anyone with information about these instances to contact them. Individuals can dial 999/911/457-1211, or contact the officer in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department at 456-1810, or any police station or officer with whom they are comfortable speaking. All information given will be kept strictly secret. The instances are still being investigated.

The RSVGPF remains committed to safeguarding the community’s safety and well-being and will make every effort to bring those responsible for these incidents to justice.
