As St Vincent and the Grenadines continue to deal with La Soufriere’s effects, Thursday morning heavy rains have caused damage to houses mere minutes away from the capital Kingstown.
Reports reaching News784 are that two houses have collapsed in the village of Rockies.
It has also been reported that the structures of several others are severely undermined. There have also been reports of collapse houses further north of the capital.
Landslides have been occurring across the country since about 3 am on Thursday as heavy rains pound the island.
Several lahars have been reported in the North of the island. The main bridge connecting northern villages with the South sustained heavy damage.
