Jerroy Phillips a 22-year-old unemployed from the Redemption Sharpes community who are presently on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison on two separate charge of robbery and kidnapping has been slapped with two additional charges.
He is accused that on September 14th, 2018 at McKies Hill attempted to rob Alvin Edwards and on October 5th, 2018 assaulted Jonty Telesford causing him actual bodily harm at Redemption Sharpes which resulted in another arrest.
Phillips was on Thursday November 22nd escorted to the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne facing the indictable charges one of which he was not allowed to enter a plea as it was laid indictable.
Bail was not allowed for this charge, so he was remanded into custody to return to Court on November 29th, to have his bail review.
Regarding the assault charge Phillips entered a not guilty plea and the matter was adjourned and transferred to the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court to be heard before Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett on January 22nd, 2018.
