The murder of a Redemption Sharpes man is the fourth in May, bringing the island’s death toll so far for 2023 to 19.
On Thursday, police disclosed to the St. Vincent Times that a 33-year-old Tradesman from Redemption Sharpes was shot and killed.
Brian Samuel was identified as the victim; no additional information was provided.
Police are investigating three other murders that occurred earlier this month.
Eric Conliffe, a 47-year-old electrician from Kingstown Park, was shot and killed on Sunday, May 14, at Upper Middle Street in Kingstown; Nigel Thomas, murdered in the Diamond neighborhood on Monday, May 9; and Jamalo “Ice” Dumbar, a 31-year-old laborer from Rillan Hill, who was killed in Arnos Vale on Saturday, May 6.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Brian Samuel, 33 years old Tradesman of Redemption Sharpes. On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Samuel was reportedly approached and shot about his body in Redemption Sharpes by an unknown assailant.
A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on Samuel’s body to ascertain the exact cause of death. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
