Several form three students attending the Saint Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua were not allowed to write their exam on Wednesday.
According to one parent, unpaid school fees by the ten students was the catalyst for the move made by the school authorities.
A parent who spoke with this publication said they were planning on making payment next week.
“It caught me off guard. There was no warning. My daughter was one of the students sent home”.
“I was told that the students could not write any exam unless they pay, and school will be closed next Thursday.”
“So it seems that between today and next week, once payment is made, there is a possibility for the exam to be written.”
The school authorities were not available for comment at the time of this publication.
