Peto Men On Drug Charge Gets $30,000 Bail

Deron Louie and Michael Lavia both from the community of Petit Bordel have been jointly charge for possession of two quantities of drugs.

Police at the Rapid Response Unit intercepted both men at Villa with 2,229gms of cocaine and 350gms of marijuana on December 1st, 2018.

Louie and Lavia were escorted to the Serious Offences Court on Monday December 3rd before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne charged for having cocaine in their possession with intent to supply to another for the purpose of trafficking along with the marijuana with intent to supply.

 They both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche had no objection to bail which was allowed in the sum of $30,000.00 each with one surety.

They have been also ordered to report to the Chateaubelair Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6am and 6pm.

They are to surrender all travel documents to the Court. The trial has been slated for January 11th, 2019.
