Wages and salary enhancements are among the government’s agenda for the year 2019.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves stated on Monday 7th January that a meeting would be held on Friday 11th January, to begin the process.
Gonsalves said for every one per cent unions ask for the government must find some $3 Million dollars.
A 2.5 per cent salary increase took place here in 2015, which was retroactive, the increase cost the government some $7 Million dollars.
A 1.5 per cent increase for also took place in 2016.
