- DEADLY SHOOTING IN OLD MONTROSE UNDER INVESTIGATION
Police attached to the Major Crime Unit (MCU) in the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that resulted in the death of Kenroy Peters, a thirty-one (31) year-old Mason of Old Montrose. The shooting occurred about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday 31st December 2023.
Preliminary information revealed that the deceased walking along the Old Montrose Public Road towards his place of abode when he was accosted by a masked assailant with a gun who shot him multiple times in his upper body and head. Peters was pronounced deceased at the scene by a medical practitioner.
The crime scene was processed by members of the Crime Scene Unit and items of evidential value were collected.
A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on the deceased to ascertain the exact cause of death. The RSVGPF expresses its deepest condolences to all those who are negatively affected by this fatal shooting.
