(By Ernesto Cooke) -A strike put on by the minibus owners from the Green Hill community have yielded quick results.
Spokesperson for the group Rohan Scott told News784 that a meeting was held at 3pm on Monday 8th October,2018, with the Minister of Transport Julian Francis.
As of last Friday 5th October, Scott said they had not received any correspondence from the Minister following their letter of grievance to him.
Scott told News784 that Personnel from BRAGSA (The Roads Buildings and General Services Authority) would be in Green Hill on Tuesday 9th October 2018 to do an assessment of the road way.
The Minister according to Scott said that he will ensure that work starts in earnest by Monday 15th or Tuesday 16th October the latest.
The bus operators told News784 that they will keep an eye on the Ministers promise, with a view to striking again, if he goes back on his word.
Some eight mini buses took part in the strike action on Monday 8th October 2018, bus service will resume on Wednesday 10th October 2018.
