- LABOURER CHARGED WITH MURDER IN KEISHA SMALL’S DEATH
The Major Crime Unit (MCU) of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation surrounding the killing of Zarrel Veronica “Keisha” Small of Arnos Vale (Pole Yard)/ Fountain.
At 4:45 p.m. on today’s date (29.12.23), Police charged Rion “Pitbull” Cole, a 24-year-old Labourer of Paul’s Avenue with the offence of Murder. Cole is charged that between August 24th and 25th, 2022, with malice aforethought, he caused the death of Zarrel Veronica “Keisha” Small by an unlawful act.
Small was a 43 year old Unemployed formerly of Fountain. At the time of her death, she was living at Pole Yard, Arnos Vale.
On Thursday 25th August 2022 about 6:00 a.m., Police received information about a female body that was discovered on the Tarmac at the decommissioned E.T Joshua Airport in Arnos Vale. The Police visited the scene and met the deceased lying on her back in an area where containers and trailers were being stored with what appeared to have been a piece of PVC pipe inserted into her vagina.
The crime scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and Small was pronounced deceased at the scene by a medical practitioner. An investigation was then launched into the matter.
On Friday August 26th August 2022, a post-mortem examination was conducted on the body. The cause of death was listed as Asphyxia due to manual strangulation.
The accused will be arraigned at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday 02nd January 2024. The RSVGPF wishes to thank the public for their cooperation in this and other investigations. Together, we can make SVG safer and more peaceful. If you see something. Say something!
