SVG Government Loaned Two Satellite Phones For Use During Hurricane Season

The Embassy of the United States of America for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean will hand over two Satellite phones to the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday 30th May, 2019.

These two Iridium 9555 Satellite phones will be handed over on a loan basis to be used by the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines during the 2019 hurricane season; one for the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the other will be assigned to the Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO).

Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the United States of America for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Mr. Joaquin F. Monserrate will hand over these two satellite phones to the Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation, Ms. Michelle Forbes, who will act as a signatory for the receipt of the phones.

The Handing Over Ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. at NEMO’s Conference Room.
