Police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old Carpenter from the North Eastern end of the country with Rape on 05.05.19.
The accused man unlawfully had sexual intercourse with a female who at the time of the intercourse did not consent to it. The incident occurred on 02.05.19.
The assailant is expected to appear before the Family Court to answer the charge.
